LA-CO / Markal SLIC-TITE PTFE Thread Seal Tape (Mfg Part No. 44082 / MRK44082) is a premium-grade, heavy-duty PTFE tape designed for pipe thread sealing and general pipe repair applications. This white PTFE tape is 1/2" wide and 300" long with a 3 mil thickness for superior sealing power and thread adherence. It is non-toxic and ideal for use on metal threads. Service temperatures range from -450°F (-268°C) to 500-550°F (260-288°C) depending on source data; the tape meets MIL-T-27730A military specification where noted and is suitable for high-pressure applications (rated in marketing up to 10,000 PSI / 690 BAR). Use for commercial and industrial thread sealing where chemical resistance, temperature tolerance, and reliable leak prevention are required.
